As a stakeholder of the two produced images, it is of importance to explain the context
behind the images 1 and 2. Image 1 has an umbrella captioned consumer protection, shading
group of individuals. The image also has brief writings about legal and ethical issues while
giving an example of American Bureau of Consumer protection, an American federal agency
that protects consumers against unfair, deceptive, fraudulent business practice by collecting
complains and conducting investigation suing companies and people that break the law and also
educating consumers and business about their responsibilities. Image 2 has a car which has

broken down and the owner sitting beside the car without help and on phone call possibly calling
for help while reading something which is probably the car manual book. The car in picture two
is a hybrid car which is continuously amongst the best cars. Consumer protection manifested in
image one failed to cover the vehicle owner in image two probably by not educating on the
importance of not buying hybrid vehicles if they cannot have the funds to sustain as they are of
high price during acquisition and costly in their maintenance.
As a stakeholder image one has been used to create awareness has been used to highlight the
starring role of the Bureau of consumer protection which is principally to safeguard the
consumer. This indicates the logic and truth of the consumer protection Bureau by highlighting
the parts which convince persons on the importance of the bureau of consumer protection and
accepting their roles. Picture 2 as an investor has been used to bring out the message of how
hybrid cars bring a lot of inconvenience to individuals. To convey emotional appeal the person in
image two has been used sitting down and at the same time alone, making a call and reading the
manual book for the car. The main point as the stakeholder is the advertisement of the bureau of
consumer protection, bringing out that its only through consumer protection that can help people
avoid being stressed up with things they buy. As the person in picture 2 and rationale indicating
the starring role of the bureau of consumer protection which is understandable which without
further research one can deduce its functions.
Please tell me what functions you mean. I am not sure of your point.
Oratoricalplans are the techniques by which an individual tries to present notions or
communication to audiences of the images. These approaches help a writer consolidate link facts
into a series. As a stakeholder in both pictures, we have used rhetoric strategy for the audience to
think and come up with a personal opinion of the photos. The use of philosophy, symbols, and
sorrow are existing in both pictures.

Use of logos- In image 1 the caption “Legal and Ethical issues” speaks a lot, it provides a
lot of logic information on functions of bureau as a whole, that is primarily concerned with the
legality of products produced by people or companies and the good it gives to the consumers
without the bureau will have to sue those people who create products not suitable for
consumption or which are indicated by law that they are illegal. Ethical issues used also help
understand that the Bureau of consumers also help consumers crack a delinquent or a state that
needs them to pick between substitutes that must be evaluated as(right) ethical or
unethical(wrong). The logic behind it is that the caption speaks the truth about the entire bureau.
Use of logos is also evident in image number 2; the opening of the bonnet of the car is of the
logical reason that the car has broken down needs to be examined for a mechanical problem.
This logic makes the audience deduce that the vehicle needs repair without being told verbally or
in written form.
Why the use of an umbrella- The umbrella with its literal meaning is used to shelter
against rain, or hot scorching sun with individuals harboring in the umbrella gives the audience
the thinking about protection, even without reading the caption on the umbrella. This enables
them to comprehend the significance of having the Bureau of customer protection. The caption
on the umbrella “Consumer Protection” will further make the audience conclude that the bureau
of consumer protection protects people especially consumers as manifested by the umbrella
function. Every individual in the umbrella is happy has shown by the image. This implies that
individuals who are fully protected by the bureau will always find a happy life. That individual
under the umbrella is a family which is a basic unit of organization in America to indicate that
the family is satisfied if they consume products certified by the bureau of consumer protection.
Those also beneath the umbrella are of diverse age groups. This makes the addressees get the

communication that all age groups profit under the Bureau of consumer protection without favor.
The vulnerable group of the society that’s the old, women and children is also under the
protection of the Bureau of consumer protection ( Eradi, 2011)
Highlighting of the specialized divisions of the Bureau of consumer protection. As a
stakeholder highlighting the divisions is of great importance as we cannot write every detail on
the image the divisions of advertising, enforcement, financial, marketing, international, and
planning and information. Publicizing: the federal trade commission which is part of the bureau
of consumer protection plays an important in regulating advertisement especially deceptive
advertisement. It formulates rules to govern the advertisement industry to help prevent the
deception of the clients with debauched things and things that are costly for the clients to buy
and maintain as in image 2. Enforcement: the FTC enforces federal consumer protection laws
against deception fraud and unfair business practices whether combatting telemarketing fraud,
internet scams or price-fixing schemes its mission is to protect the consumers. Financial: the
bureau provides both financial support and financial editing to ensure consumers are not
exploited on the prices of goods. Marketing: it prevents deceptive marketing and ensures that
marketing gets well paid. Planning: it plans on policies that will help stop consumer exploitation
in future. Information: the bureau of consumer protection provides information about products
the public to know for example in image two the driver was equipped with a manual and contacts
of the manufacturer (Federal Trade Commission, 2019).
The individual in image2 shows ethos by showing a valid number of plate and brand of
the hybrid car; the hybrid car also gives a sense of time indicating it is in recent years. The
individual in image two also shows pathos as used by the stakeholders. The person seeks
attention from the audience for them to see how stressful he is by sitting down reading a manual

at the same time making a phone call while alone on the road. This shows how expensive and
stressful hybrid cars can be.
In conclusion as a stakeholder, the two images as used has a lot of relationships. The first
image as used to advertise about the legal rights and ethical issues through the bureau consumer
protection and its importance and in picture 2 one can relate to as effects of consumers not
protected by the bureau through possible education in some products.
