Poetic Inferno
Introduction
The journey to the distant lands is dark and full of terror
The seven lands are scary, vast and the faint-hearted do not survive
Brace yourself dear since some might fear and some care
Their names are not sweet, and they pierce right through
Move fast without sweat and understand all the endowment
We will recognize some of the lands and sinners each in their land crew
You may feel sympathy and empathy but remember each land is different
May you all exercise hope with open eyes
Feel their pain while seeking their endearment
Gain wisdom for living and avoid the sins to better lives you will live
All the sinners have no chance but do you believe?
POETIC INFERNO
Limbo
A state of inferior heaven is the land of the heathen
The land is rough, and the heathen are suffering
To survive they desolate of all that they love, thriving and rightfully given
Hopeless, pathless, lightless they live without leaving but exist nothingness
The land is barren full of wearied frames
The sinner cries out to no avail and no responsiveness
Faint, hopeless and eyes hollow wooing for evil hours
The spirit is in pain over the lack of knowledge,
The state of limbo with no gain but slain out of life but yet living life as ours
The horror of being in limbo and craving for a chance to make a better choice
One of escaping the choice of ending in the land of limbo but escape is no choice
4
POETIC INFERNO
Lust
The second land of suffering sinners is lust
The sun is shining bright and piercing with voices sad and paining
They suffer their lust of the eyes and pride of life they last
The land is noisy with their shouts and cries
The sinners are suffering their sin screaming their faces out
Gorged out eyes with blood trickling down and their scorched skin lies
The voices are guttural with pain visible and eyes of ungrateful degree
Their bodies’ plea for an escape beating their chests
Some lust at us trying to blindly touch me
The sin of lust will last in this lustful land
There is no hope, no life, and no peace but just died in the land

POETIC INFERNO
Gluttony
In the land of gluttons, the sky releases stinking slush and sinners roll looking torn
Some of which have worms coming out of their stomach
A monster with multiple heads bites to all within reach be prone
The monster throws some of the dirt into his mouth
Walking is a problem and the sinners eager to pull us into their problems
One of the sinners narrates his story and seeks sympathy with truth
We sympathize but have to move on
Sinners fleeing the monster on and they are hopeless
Our sympathy does this land no good and hence us gone
The sinners are screaming, but we have to move on ignore their screaming
The journey through the lands is long and demeaning
6
POETIC INFERNO
Greed
The city of wasters and hoarders guarded by another monster
The sinners have peculiar behavior as they scream and shout at each other
They roll weights on each other
They question each other’s actions in the past life living
They hurl waste and weighs at each other
Their noise is deafening, and their souls and sins are clashing
It is sickening to watch, but the sinners don’t see it as others
The monster rules over this land
Unlike in the past lands, these sinners do not reach out to us
What has been seen cannot be unseen, and sinners have nothing
Nothing but anguish and suffering
7
POETIC INFERNO
Anger
We trudge on seeing violence as sinners are biting and hitting
Souls destroyed by anger still alive and uninhibited
Without abandoning each other, they continue smashing
More sinners writhe in the mud as they hit each other sadly
They should have been happy in the old land where the sun shone
They had nothing but pain and trapped in their sin forever and hardly
The river like a symbol of their hate that continuously flows through them
The sinners are vindictive as their wrath chokes them
All these souls longing for freedom from their virtues like an anthem
We move on as they lie in the marsh
Anger is dreadful and a terrible state they crush
8
POETIC INFERNO
Heresy
The sixth land is approached without hasty
We see a monster transporting more sinners into the city gates
The monster has to be appeased to allow us to access the city
From outside the city, we hear wailing and screaming
I guide the group as we enter the city and see open tombs
Sinners are in the open tombs covered by red fumes flaming
The land is filled with tombs uneven and full of torment
Now they suffer in their torment where red flames are never ending
These sinners had arch-heretics as their main instrument
We leave the city of flaming walls as the sinners have nothing
Nothing at all but suffering
9
POETIC INFERNO
Violence
The land of violence is unique in its structure with three inner cities
The first is the city of violence against people for sinners who sinned against people
The second city of violence against oneself for sinners that took their own lives
The last is the inner city of violence against Art, Nature, and God
The second inner-city welcomes us with screams and anguish
It is covered in trees, and the sounds seem to be odd
The spirits are the trees which were once men themselves
The broken branch narrates its story
How he was pushed to the edge forcing him to kill himself
The sinners have nothing
Nothing at all but suffering
10
POETIC INFERNO
Fraud
The land of fraudsters
Characterized by monsters of different fraudulent nature
They lied, they made up, and they are flatters
The sinners are trapped in this land immature
We talk to some of the souls
They tell us tales of their deceitful nature
Others are seducers, flatterers, alchemists and a slumber
They all the ditches receive different pain
These ditches are ten in number
The sinners have nothing
Nothing but suffering
11
POETIC INFERNO
Treachery
The last land is full of tricksters
Souls that performed treachery in the old land
We recognize some of the famous and disgraced sinners
The second region of this land is occupied by Prince Jeremy
Region three of the land has differed set of occupants
We recognize some such as Ptolemy
The innermost and worst region is uniquely named to show the occupant
The occupant is Judas, the man who betrayed Jesus
Others in the region are men who betrayed their masters as adamant
All the souls suffer, and the sinners have nothing
Nothing but suffering
12
POETIC INFERNO
Conclusion
The journey to the distant lands was full of terror but going I must
Many felt faint in this lands
The lands were scary and vast
A total of seven lands we moved fast
Some did fear and others were terrified of tears
We recognized some of the lands with the sinners in their lands at last
We feel sympathy and empathy and our empathy the sinners obtained
We had little hope but hopeful with open eyes
We felt pained, understood their sin and wisdom we gained
Now we know all the sinners have neither chance nor choice,
But we have a choice.
